Destaque: HUNT, William.
William Holman Hunt (1827-1910) viajou diversas vezes a Paris e a Bruxelas (Bélgica, 1849-), e, juntamente com seu amigo Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) visitou a Itália (1869; 1875; 1892). Hunt também viajou através da Palestina (1854; 1856; 1875). Nessa fase, a Academia Real de Arte foi presidida por Sir John Everett Millais (1829-1896), naquele que foi o seu último ano de vida. Holman Hunt formou com Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais a Irmandade dos Pré-Rafaelitas [The Pre-Raphaellite Brotherwood](v.).
